CON EDISON SOLUTIONS EXPANDS CUSTOMER BASE IN MARYLAND
--Specialty Printing Firm and Property Management Company Sign On and Reap Energy Savings up to 15%--
White Plains, NY - October 17, 2006 - ConEdison Solutions, one of the nation's leading energy service providers, has announced today two new customers in the state of Maryland: ROI Technologies and Three Garden Village Apartments. ConEdison Solutions offers its services as part of the Maryland retail electricity choice program, which allows businesses to switch energy suppliers to an energy service company.
ROI Technologies, a specialty printing company based in Baltimore, and Three Garden Village Apartments, a property management firm based in Baltimore, renewed their contracts with ConEdison Solutions. Both organizations signed contracts to receive their electricity at a fixed price for the period beginning in June 2006 and continuing for one year.

In 2004, ConEdison Solutions was one of several winners of an Internet-based “reverse” energy auction to provide low-cost energy supplies to a number of executive branch departments and agencies in the state of Maryland. The company won a significant amount of the load auctioned, which was 40 percent of the total state energy business available in the auction. The contract expired in July, but ConEdison Solutions recently renewed a portion of this load and took on some additional load.
